Blocking Google's Ads in Search Results

If you are an ultra-sensitive ad-abhorrer who cant stand those ads displayed by Google in the name "Sponsored Links", then here is something to make you happy! If you are a Firefox aficionado, follow these simple instructions from Scroogle.org (which apparently is running a campaign against Google for whatever reasons) to tinker a bit of your Firefox settings and voila! All those ads are blocked ! Yes you heard me write. This method is only available for Firefox.

Well those IE fans need not be disheartened. Cuz, there are dozens of KB-sized apps ready to munch all kinds of ads. I particularly like this cute app called AdMuncher which does its job almost perfectly.

As more advertisers and consumers jump blindly into online technologies who owns the space? Do advertisers have the right to find new ways to get in front of you using your web browser? Do you have the right to turn them all off?
